Hedera, Ripple Technologies Reportedly Power IDEMIA's Offline CBDC
IDEMIA's offline Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) payment solution reportedly integrates technologies from Hedera ($HBAR) and Ripple ($XRP). Engineered for environments with limited or no internet connectivity, it ensures continuous access to payment services and enhances financial resilience even when online infrastructure is compromised. Hedera's distributed ledger technology and Ripple's enterprise blockchain solutions form a core aspect of its design for future CBDCs.
The IDEMIA solution has received acknowledgment from a range of influential global financial bodies, including the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the United Nations, the World Bank, and numerous Central Banks. This widespread recognition from such institutions lends significant credibility to IDEMIA's offline CBDC approach, which leverages $HBAR and $XRP.
